82 days my feet are standing still

acrylic paint on paper, 2021

How does a body that is used to being in constant motion suddenly deal with a state of not being able to move? How can I make physical impressions visible without moving?

82 days my feet are standing still consists of a series of 82 footprints that represent the equivalent of the repetitive and monotonous movements that were part of my everyday life after being diagnosed with a long-term cardiovascular disease. The series is intended to illustrate not only the perseverance and patience required for my recovery, but also life with disabilities invisible to outsiders.
