cactus costochondritis documents an attempt to make sense of the long-covid diagnosis I received in 2021 and the physical sensations and experiences that came with it. It is an attempt to find my way in a body that feels strange to me and to come to terms with the fact that illnesses leave traces on our bodies - visible and invisible. The materials chosen here represent how I perceived my body at that time; a body that is neither the body before nor after the illness.
